Big Brother 12 Cast Announced

Now, I don’t normally watch the Early Show on a regular basis…..but today was the day that the Big Brother 12 cast was to be revealed by Julie Chen (love her!).   I was not entirely shocked by any of the choices. Everyone is relatively good looking and all their fancy job descriptions could be cover for model jobs but that isn’t clear yet.  Strangest of all is the casting of an Orthodox Jewish houseguest, Andrew Gordon.  This means kosher meals and keeping holy the sabboth (i.e no competitions).  I wonder if they really understood that fact going into it and how they will deal with it on the show.  The one thing I did notice was instead of having one house “matriach or patriarch”…ie the older people…the ages seems to be a bit more averaged out.  A 40 year old, a 39 year old, a 34 year old….all up against 24 and 26 year olds.  Below is a brief run down of the guests taken from tvguide.com of course you can check out full cast bios and pics on http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_brother/

Kristen Bitting, a 24-year-old shoe boutique manager from Philadelphia
Lane Elenburg, a 24-year-old oil rig salesman from Decatur, Texas
Ragan Fox, a 34-year-old college professor from Los Angeles
Andrew Gordon, a 39-year-old podiatrist  from Miami Beach, Fla.
Britney Haynes, a 22-year-old hotel sales manager from Huntington, Ark.
Kathy Hillis, a 40-year-old deputy sheriff from Texarkana, Ark.
Matt Hoffman, a 32-year-old web designer from  Elgin, Ill.
Hayden Moss, a 24-year-old college student from Tempe, Ariz.
Enzo Palumbo, a 32-year-old insurance adjuster from Bayonne, N.J.
Rachel Reilly, a 26-year-old chemistry graduate student/VIP cocktail waitress from Las Vegas
Monet Stunson, a 24-year-old model from Glen Carbon, Ill.
Brendon Villegas, a 30-year-old high school swim coach from Riverside, Calif.
Annie Whittington, a 27-year-old bartender from Tampa, Fla.

We also found out that this is the summer of sabotage.   SPOILER ALERT:  It appears that one houseguest will not be playing to win the game, but instead to cause as much havoc as possible and sabotage the other players.  This sounds to me to be very similar to America’s Choice but instead of having silly tasks to pull off to get some extra cash…..this is just straight up sabotage!   It seems like it will be pretty interesting.  It has not been revealed who this player is yet but the audience will find out July 15th!   My guess is that Andrew is the secret player and  has the smarts to pull it off – he is a doctor after all and Dr. Will went on to win.   I wonder what the incentive will be the for Sabotour, as we will call him or her for now.  Any thoughts?

Leave your comments on the cast and twist below in the comments section.  I am already geared up for the Summer of Sabotage!
