DWTS Week 8 Results

Through eight contests, the producers of Dancing With the Stars have proven adept at incrementally expanding the franchise, finding ways to provide more of what we like without spilling over into redundancy or overkill. This season’s brainstorm has been the mini-tournament to select a new pro partner for the fall. Vesting our interest early has a way of locking in our eyeballs.

DWTS Week 8

This is that point in the season where you watch the opening credits and remember – oh yeah, THOSE people were on this show! The days of Belinda Carlisle seem so long ago. But this season which began in a flurry of injuries hasn’t lost its knack for wound-triggered drama. After her galvanizing Argentine Tango of last week, Melissa looked to be strongly positioned for a championship run. But now, through a combination of a possible hairline rib fracture and a poor performance by her Team in the follow-up dance, she’s in a deep hole, points-wise; and her weakest competitor, Ty, is enjoying his strongest week.
